Our Services

Acupuncture

Our acupuncture treatment is a full body, comprehensive session to reduce inflammation, activate the nervous system, increase blood circulation and alleviate pain.

Glass Fire Cupping

A 30-minute session where glass cups are suctioned to the skin to increase circulation, relieve muscle tension and boost immunity. It helps release trigger points, break up scar tissue, and promote lymphatic movement to help the body to move more freely.

Holistic Microneedling

Our 90-minute microneedling is performed on the face and neck to naturally increase collagen and elastin production. It can help with wrinkles, acne, hyperpigmentation and scarring. Session includes cleanse, tone, full-body acupuncture, Chinese herbal facial serum, mask and LED light therapy.

Cosmetic Acupuncture Facial

Our cosmetic acupuncture facial is a 90-minute technique focused on the face to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve muscle tone, and increase the skin’s vitality to achieve a more youthful appearance. Session includes cleanse, tone, face and full body acupuncture, LED light therapy, a biocellulose mask, Chinese herbal serum, and facial cupping or facial gua sha.

Facial Gua Sha + Cupping Massage

A 60 minute massage for the scalp, face, neck and décolletage using gua sha tools, cups, or a combination of both. Gua Sha activates blood circulation, improves lymphatic drainage, reduces puffiness and wrinkles, and smooths the skin’s texture. Cupping brings qi and blood to the facial muscles to help stimulate collagen and elastin production, improves blood circulation, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, relaxes tight muscles and promotes lymphatic drainage.

Frequently Asked Questions

We put together a list of frequently asked questions about acupuncture.  Please contact us at (425) 395-4097 or drmonee@rootedflow-wellness.com should you have other questions.

What does acupuncture treat?

Acupuncture treats a wide variety of conditions from health concerns to aesthetic interests.  Click here for a complete list of conditions that the World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes acupuncture as an effective treatment.

Does acupuncture hurt? What does it feel like?

Many people fear needles for one reason or another, and this fear is a common reason why they are yet to receive acupuncture.  The average diameter of an acupuncture needle is about 10 times smaller than a hypodermic needle (used for injections or to draw blood) and about 2 times larger than the diameter of human hair.  Because of this, acupuncture produces no pain or discomfort.  Common sensations felt at the site of needle insertion are dull, heavy, or achy sensations, warmth, tingling, muscle twitches, or electrical sensations.  Some points may feel more sensitive than others, and commonly you will not feel anything at all.  You do not want to feel anything sharp or stabbing.  If this is the case, notify your practitioner who will either adjust or remove the needle.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

For all sessions please wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be rolled up to your elbows and knees.  If you are coming in for a facial rejuvenation session, please ensure your top allows for easy accessibility to your neck and collarbone.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions will vary from person to person depending on a variety of factors: the condition you are seeking treatment for, your constitution, how long the condition has been an issue, and the severity of the condition.  Typically treatment plans start with weekly or twice-a-week sessions for 4-8 weeks before reassessment.  Chronic conditions generally take longer to resolve than acute conditions.  Some people experience results immediately, others experience them over a period of time.

Do you accept insurance?
